JANUARY // I Came, I Saw, I Left Early
January-- a month that, for me, is filled with juxtaposition. On one hand, I'm looking to overhaul and get motivated on new goals for the new year. On the other, the days are dark and, this year in particular, extremely cold, which only increases my desire to hibernate in sweatpants with a giant bowl of pasta.
As the internal struggle continues, January was mostly the latter--extremely low-key (we watched a true Harry Potter marathon in one weekend...) but also broken up with some fun events around the city. Eataly hosted a Après Ski Festival, where we filled up on winter cocktails, braised beef and cannolis; we spent a Friday night at the Museum of Science, specifically to check out The Beyoncé Experience; I enjoyed another lovely ladies brunch at Juliet with Instagram-friend-turned-real-life-friend Gabby; and we finished out the month at Coppa's annual Goodfellas dinner complete with four courses of hearty Italian meals like chicken parmesan, bolognese lasagna and shrimp scampi. Honestly, I think we're already 100% in for next year's event, it was that good.
It seems as though I always go into winter months thinking it will be uneventful, and end up looking back to so many wonderful memories! Here's to the adventures that February will bring...
Mejuri Sleek Hoops | I am obsessed with these! Received as a gift for Christmas, they've been my go-to's more often than not. You know that I'm loyal to small gold earrings that I can shower/sleep/live in, so I am super excited to have the option to switch these into my rotation with simple gold studs.
Shinola Large Hard Linen Journal | If you read my last post, it may come as no surprise that my Shinola journal is a favorite this month. I've been bringing it everywhere and filling it to the brim every single day. I love the larger size of this version, which gives you slightly wider pages for all of your creative ideas and to-do lists.
